Attendance Policy

Effective Date: 1 January 2025

1. QR-Based Attendance

Attendance is marked exclusively via QR code scanning using the Student Portal. Students must scan the QR code displayed by the instructor at the start of each class.

• QR codes are session-specific and time-limited.
• Manual attendance is not permitted — no proxy marking.
• All timestamps are recorded in Indian Standard Time (IST).

2. Minimum Attendance Requirement

• Diploma programs: 75% minimum attendance per semester
• Certificate courses: 70% minimum
• Workshop/short courses: 80% minimum

Students below minimum attendance will not be eligible for examinations or certificate issuance.

3. Late Arrival

Students arriving more than 10 minutes late may be marked "Late". Three late marks count as one absence.

4. Planned Absences

Students must inform their instructor at least 24 hours in advance for planned absences. Medical absences require a certificate within 3 days.

5. Make-Up Classes

Make-up classes may be available subject to batch availability. Contact the admin office to schedule. Not guaranteed.
