Dress Code Policy

Effective Date: 1 January 2025

1. General Requirements

• Comfortable, stretchable dance attire must be worn at all times during class.
• Street clothes (jeans, heavy jackets) are not permitted on the studio floor.
• Hair must be tied back and away from the face for all classes.

2. Footwear

• Hip-Hop / Urban: Clean indoor sneakers only
• Contemporary / Lyrical: Bare feet or dance socks
• Ballet: Ballet flats or pointe shoes as directed by instructor
• Latin / Salsa: Heeled dance shoes or indoor flats

Street footwear is strictly prohibited on the studio floor to protect the sprung floor surface.

3. Jewellery & Accessories

No dangling jewellery, large rings, or sharp accessories during class. Stud earrings are acceptable. Academy is not responsible for lost or damaged accessories.

4. Uniform (Diploma Students)

Diploma programme students must wear the official Genesis Studio uniform for examinations, showcases, and on-stage performances. Uniform details provided at enrollment.

5. Non-Compliance

Students not meeting dress code may be asked to sit out the class. Repeated violations may result in a formal warning.
