Media & Photography Policy

Effective Date: 1 January 2025

1. Academy Media Rights

By enrolling, students grant Genesis Studio permission to photograph and video record them during classes, rehearsals, performances, and events for use in:

• Academy website and social media
• Promotional materials and brochures
• Award applications and competition submissions

Students/parents who wish to opt out must notify the academy in writing at enrollment.

2. Student Recording Policy

• Students may record their own classes only with explicit instructor permission.
• Recordings must not include other students without their individual consent.
• Recordings are for personal reference only and must not be published publicly.

3. Performance Events

Photography and video by audience members is permitted at public performances unless otherwise announced. Flash photography is not permitted during any live performance.

4. Social Media

• Do not tag other students in photos/videos without their consent.
• Choreography videos must credit Genesis Studio if posted publicly.
• Content that portrays the academy negatively may result in disciplinary action.

5. Minors

No photographs or videos of minor students may be shared on social media without written parental consent on file with the academy.
